The Metro Development Program is a key pathway initiative offered by Wanneroo Districts Netball Association for players who competed at the 2025 Association Championships.
Selected athletes will represent WDNA in a 6-week competition, playing against other metro associations across Perth. This program includes:
1 training session per week
1 competitive game per week
High-quality coaching and athlete development
Opportunities to further enhance netball knowledge, skills, and game awareness
The Metro Development Program is an incredibly valuable step in our athlete development pathway and a vital part of progressing talented players toward higher-level netball opportunities.
Trial 1 – Sunday 14 September 2025
12 & Under: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
14 & Under: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Trial 2 – Sunday 14 September 2025
16 & Under: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
20 & Under: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Location: Wanneroo Districts Netball Association
Subject to weather, trials may be moved to an indoor venue within the local area.
Registrations for the 2025 Metro Development Program trials are by invitation only.
Athletes must have:
Participated in the 2025 Association Championships, and
Received a formal invitation to register

Woolworths NetSetGo is Australia’s leading grassroots netball program, designed for children aged 5-10 to experience the joy of netball in a fun, safe, and welcoming community.
Our mission is to develop confident, and active kids who will grow a lifelong love of team sport, all while building essential skills.
In this tier, children are introduced to the basics of netball through fun, simple activities that keep them moving and engaged.
This program will be held over 8 weeks and is run on Tuesday afternoons, 4:00pm to 4:45pm at the far courts at WDNA.
A courtesy email will be sent out 5 days prior to the start of this program, including a mud-map of the location at WDNA Courts, a Group No. and the meeting point for the first day of commencement.

COST – $71.00 (plus admin fees).
Netball Australia and Netball WA fees also apply.
New Athletes – Registration includes an NSG pack (approx. $31). Once registered, the cost of the pack is non-refundable if players withdraw from the program, along with the NA admin and service fee.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Our Junior Development Program is built on a commitment to provide young athletes with a focused pathway for growth in netball. The program is designed to strengthen essential basic skills—such as passing, footwork, movement, and shooting—while developing game sense through engaging activities, drills, and match play.
By combining skill development with fun and purposeful learning, we aim to nurture confident players who enjoy the game and continue to grow both individually and as part of a team.
This program will run on Mondays from 6:00pm – 7:30pm, starting 27 October and continuing through 1 December 2025.
Where
All sessions will be held at the WDNA Courts.
What to Bring
Participants should come prepared with:
Hat & sunscreen (sessions are outdoors)
Water bottle (labelled)
Healthy snacks or fruit
White singlet or T-shirt
Black or blue shorts/track pants
Supportive netball shoes
Registrations for the Junior Development Program will open on Friday 29 August 2025 and close on Monday 20 October 2025.
