junior Development Program

The Junior Development Program reflects our commitment to providing a focused pathway that supports continued growth in playing Netball. The program ensures that essential basic skills are developed through game-sense activities and drills.


Coaches successfully selected will be required to:

Run a training session for up to 10 athletes

The Program will be held over 6 weeks and is run on Monday nights from 6.00pm to 7.30pm at the Far Courts at WDNA.


JUNIOR ATHLETES: Boys & Girls aged from 10 years, 11 years & 12 years  (turning in 2025 only)


Commencing on Monday 27 October, with the final session on Monday 1 December 2025.


This program will be delivered by Accredited Coaches within WDNA, delivering essential skills of ball handling, footwork, general attacking and general defending.

All coaches are welcome to apply and must hold a Foundation accreditation or higher (preferably Development, or currently working towards Development).

METRO DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

As a coach in the Metro Development Program, you'll be working with talented athletes who participated in the 2025 Association Championships and have been invited to trial for this next-level development opportunity.


You’ll be responsible for coaching one training session and one game per week, competing against other associations across the Perth Metro area. Coaches will also have access to education and development opportunities throughout the program.


This is a great chance to develop your coaching skills in a competitive environment while supporting the next generation of Netball talent.

Trainings:

Monday nights, from October 6 to November 24


Games:

Friday nights, from October 24 to November 28

Lead Coaches must have a minimum Intermediate accreditation (or working towards)


Assistant coaches a minimum Development accreditation.


Apprentice coaches a minimum Foundations accreditation.


All coaches must have a valid working with children check.
